Ban to be put into place

The Federal Government has moved to place a ban on live animal exports due to the pressure applied by the AAA party combined with the efforts of other organizations such as the RSPCA and Animals Australia..

Agriculture Minister Joe Ludwig said that this move was based on the shocking film footage collected by Animals Australia that showed the true treatment that cattle receive before slaughter, and just how badly they are handled, as well as the campaign by The Animal Activist Australia party.
"I have decided to halt the trade of live animals to the facilities identified by the footage," he said today referring to the footage on the ABC's four corners which can be watched here- Four corners report- live exports

An investigation has been ordered by Agriculture minister Joe Ludwig by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
This news has been a source of celebration for the AAA, RSPCA, Animals Australia and Australia farmers who never wish for their animals to be in pain.

AAA party spokesperson Talina Dolan said today at a press conference "This is a welcome move made by the federal government, we rejoice as the ban is put into place and this is just the beginning to putting an end to animal cruelty. We at the Animal Activists party would like to thank the animal advocates who collected the footage which combined with our efforts convinced the Federal Government to put the ban into place."

Dolan expressed her parties wishes to change the way all abattoirs operate as to ensure minimal suffering to all Australia's animals. Now live animal exports are been addressed, AAA is hoping to push other issues of animal abuse onto the agenda, such as animal testing and Whaling.
Thanks to the ban this cow will now be spared the terrible treatment in Indonesia.
